Founder and CEO of CGS Advisors to speak at Workforce Intelligence for Southeast Michigan (WIN) event

Bloomfield Twp., Mich. — Oct. 8, 2015 — Greggory Garrett, founder and CEO of CGS Advisors, a boutique strategy and innovation firm that assists corporate leaders in being brave and readying clients for the connected world, institutionalizing innovation and general growth strategy realization, will serve as a speaker at Workforce Intelligence Network (WIN) for Southeast Michigan’s “Eureka! Innovation and disruption in the economy and how the workforce can prepare” event to be held Oct. 20 at the Chicago Federal Reserve in Detroit. The half-day event will explore how innovative technologies, such as 3D printing and connected and automated products, will transform Southeast Michigan.

Garrett will present “Leading edge technologies and how they promise to change the world of work and business” at 9:35 a.m. The session will identify technology trends expected to become visible in the next five to 10 years, define what the Detroit region needs to do to maximize the economic benefits of these technologies and how best to prepare the workforce for the jobs of tomorrow.

As the founder and CEO of CGS Advisors, Garrett pushes the limits of corporate cultures by developing and implementing unique strategies that capitalize on technology oriented disruptions to industries and markets. Prior to founding CGS Advisors, Garrett was the Chief Strategy Officer for IT & Innovation at Volkswagen Group of America where he developed and led the corporation’s strategy for how to apply IT; developed and managed innovation programs focused on “the connected world”; and managed a set of support functions including market research, business planning and a corporate venture capital program. Garrett holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from Michigan State University’s Broad School for Executive Management and a Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering from Oakland University.
